GoCreteRentals – Terms & Conditions of Rental

(for Cars · Motorcycles · Bicycles / E‑bikes)

1. General

These terms apply to all vehicle rentals (cars, motorcycles, bicycles/e-bikes) through the website www.gocreterentals.gr. Booking and use of the services implies acceptance of these terms, which are governed by Greek law.

2. Renter & Driver Requirements

2.1 Cars & Motorcycles

  • Minimum age of 21 years and a valid driver’s license held for at least 24 months for small vehicle categories.

  • For larger categories, the minimum age required is 25 years.

  • An International Driving Permit is required for non-EU drivers or for licenses not written in Latin characters.

  • Additional drivers must be listed in the rental contract and may incur no extra cost or a small surcharge (~€4/day).

2.2 Bicycles / E‑bikes

  • A valid ID or driving license / passport is required upon pickup.

  • Minimum age is usually 18 years old, or under adult supervision.

3. Rental Duration & Charges

3.1 Rental Day

  • Calculated on a 24-hour basis from the pickup time. A 1-hour grace period is allowed. A delay beyond 1 hour will result in an additional day charge.

3.2 Delays & Late Returns

  • Returns made 1–7 hours after the scheduled return time are considered delayed and may incur a charge of approximately €20–€50 or a full extra day, depending on the vehicle type.

4. Insurance & Liability

4.1 CDW – TP (Cars / Motorcycles)

  • Basic rental includes third-party liability coverage (T.P.).

  • Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits the renter’s responsibility to a predetermined excess amount (~€500–€1,000).

4.2 Bicycles

  • No insurance coverage is included for bicycles. The renter is fully responsible for any damage or theft based on repair or replacement costs.

5. Deposit & Payment

5.1 Cars / Motorcycles

  • A primary credit card is required for booking, either for a security deposit (block) or prepayment. The blocked amount is released within ~7–14 days after the vehicle is returned.

5.2 Bicycles

  • A deposit (approx. €100–€250) or partial prepayment (e.g. 50%) may be required depending on the booking policy.

6. Fuel & Cleanliness

6.1 Cars / Motorcycles

  • The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as it was delivered. Any shortfall will be charged per liter or through a refueling service fee (~€15 + VAT).

  • If returned in an excessively dirty condition, an extra cleaning fee may apply.

6.2 Bicycles

  • The bicycle and its accessories must be returned clean and in good condition. Damages or dirtiness may incur cleaning or repair fees.

7. Cancellations & No‑show

7.1 Cars / Motorcycles

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance – full refund of any deposit.

  • Cancellations after that – 50% charge or full amount depending on the case.

  • No‑show = full charge or loss of the deposit.

7.2 Bicycles

  • Cancellations more than 10 days in advance – no fee.

  • Cancellations up to 48 hours before pickup – 100% rental charge applies.

  • No‑show = full loss of the deposit.

8. Additional Services & Equipment

  • GPS / Navigation unit: ~€8/day, upon request.

  • Child seats / booster seats: ~€7–€15/day.

  • Delivery / Pick‑up outside working hours or area: ~€14–€30 or ~€0.60/km.

  • 24/7 roadside assistance: included or available at an extra charge.

9. Renter’s Responsibility & Exemptions

  • The renter is fully responsible for any damage, accident, or theft during the rental period.

  • Damages resulting from driving under the influence of alcohol or illegal use are not covered.

  • The company reserves the right to repossess the vehicle if there is risk or violation of the terms (e.g. unauthorized ferry transport, driving outside of Greece).
